Local and uncommon, expanding its range.

Distribution and biology very peculiar: in southeastern Finland the species is very rare resident on clear, unpolluted streams. However, in southern coast the species frequently inhabits slightly polluted nearly standing waterbodies, such as golf courses' water obstacles, garden ponds and old gravel pits.

Flight period: June-July
