Azure Hawker Aeshna caerulea

Widespread, males dashing blue. Very rare in Southern Coast, absent from large areas, perhaps due to habitat destruction. Bogs, tundra lakes, small forest lakes and peaty ponds. Becomes more and more common towards the north and is the most common Odonata species in northern Lapland. Flight period June-August.
