Blue Chaser Libellula fulva

Very rare. Only a few known populations. Very local but widely spread around Savonlinna, Kerimäki and Kitee in eastern Finland, isolated populations in Tavastia and western Uusimaa. In slow-flowing, clean streams and rivers with lots of vegetation, sometimes also small clear lakes.

Flight period: Peaks in June, rare in July, latest in August.
