Common in southern Finland, more uncommon in central Finland, unrecorded in North. Lives in most standing water biotopes, from small ponds to lake bays and slow-moving parts of large rivers. Very variable.
Flight period: early June - early August
A dark male. Extent of dark markings varies significantly. Petri Metsälä.
